This is all the stuff which gets skimmed over at training. And it’s what I didn’t think about when I decided that becoming a life coach would be a great way of leaving my job at the council and running my own business.

Trouble is that running a business is so different from working for someone else.  I was like so many people who wanted to escape, I had all the skills to be a life coach but I didn’t have the business knowledge and I was surprised by how uncomfotable I felt about selling myself.  And that’s what getting clients is about - selling yourself.  So if you would feel uncomfortable selling double glazing, vaccuum cleaners or any other product you knew would be useful and good value…

This web site is about how I did that; what I found useful and it’s how I pass it all onto you.  Some of the stuff I found is free - so you get that - other bits I had to pay for.  But I give you my honest opinion about what you need, what you can do without and what might be nice to have.  You’ll save money by not lashing out on the duds.

Here’s My Story

I transformed my 20 year local government career into a business and personal change specialist, copywriter and marketer. It was a long slog for me, and everyone else around me, and most of the time was spent researching and getting my head round what seemed like a monumental change in how I felt.  Now I understand I just needed to shift my focus and on this site are the tools and information it took be ages to sort out and get my head round.  My Ah-Ha moments are also here for you so you can get them way quicker than I did.

If you need to break away from a steady, secure and stifling career - how long have you been researching what your next move is?

At the time I missed the point.  I worked out the best course, sorted out the money to pay for it and got the leave to take the course.  And it was simply amazing - truly, a whole world about how people are communicating opened up in front of my eyes - but that on it’s own doesn’t put food on the table.

You have to get clients and some of them moan - and you have to deal with that.

There are 4 main types of information here for you:

When I finally decided to leave local government it was so easy and took only the blink of an eye.
